How we can help

Finding the right clinic can be tricky.

Our Mornington Peninsula clinic strives to make every client feel comfortable, informed and empowered in their treatment decisions. We take great pride in what we do and strive to leave every customer thrilled with their results.

Our experienced professionals can tell you:

  • the active ingredients and process involved with different treatments

  • who is best suited to treatments

  • pre- and post-care protocols to ensure you’re ready for your appointment and can get the most out of your results

Having worked with a Melbourne hospital in a surgical outpatient clinic prior to going into private nursing, Kiss & Glow’s founder is passionate about offering consultations for skin rejuvenation on the Mornington Peninsula.

If you are new to treatments, we are happy to sit down with you and talk through the process over a free consultation. We’ll cover the most important considerations to know before and after your appointment, so that we can help you achieve your goals and desired outcome.

Pre-care & Aftercare

It’s normal to experience a bit of nervousness and excitement about your upcoming appointment, so to help ease your nerves, we’ve summarised everything you need to know before and after your appointment, to ensure the treatment is right for you and that you get great results.

If you are taking medications, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any chronic health conditions, it is essential that you contact the clinic to discuss your options with our registered nurse. While we want to support every patient to achieve their goals, it may be necessary for to postpone your treatment in some circumstances (including pregnancy), and some medical conditions may require specialist clearance.

  • When attending our Mornington Peninsula clinic, we require that you avoid alcohol and any medications (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) that may cause blood thinning for at least 24 hours before your appointment to minimise the chance of bruising. We recommend speaking with our registered nurse during your consultation to discuss any painkillers or other medications you may be taking during this time.

  • Hooray! You’ve decided to take the plunge and are super excited to show the world your new look. To ensure you give your skin and face the nurturing they need after your appointment, we always recommend the following.

    After treatment:

For 12 hours post-treatment, you should avoid pressure to the face and heat or excessive sweating. This means taking care to lie or sleep on your back or side (no massages just yet!) and avoiding workouts, saunas or sunbathing for at least 12 hours after your treatment. You will also need to stay upright for 4 hours post procedure. If you experience a localised headache, you can take paracetamol to help with pain relief. Do not take Ibuprofen as it can increase the change of bruising.

Redness, swelling and minimal bruising is common post-treatment and will subside within 1–3 days. Makeup should not be applied to the area for at least 4 hours (no coverup on the light bruising just yet!), strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least 12 hours, and avoid all direct sunlight or sunbathing for at least 24 hours. If you have any questions or concerns about pain relief, drinking alcohol or prescribed medications, please speak with your consultant on the day.

    After Skin Needling:

An intensive and rejuvenating treatment, skin needling creates micro-injuries in the skin to help encourage the body’s natural healing mechanisms and encourage new skin growth, cell turnover and collagen production. Immediately post-treatment, many clients notice a red glow and warm feeling on the skin – this is expected and will reduce within 1–2 days post-treatment.

Dry and flaking skin is another normal outcome – it’s the healthy shedding of the old skin cells. It usually occurs within 3–5 days post-treatment. To help ease dryness, we recommend applying moisturiser 2–3 times per day. As the skin sheds, you will notice new, healthy and plump skin revealing itself underneath the dry patches. Please ensure you avoid sun exposure and take extra care to apply high SPF sunscreen during this time.

How Does It Work?

A glowing complexion and smooth skin are features most of us want. Yet stress, sun damage and signs of ageing can sometimes leave us feeling less than our best. While getting older is a natural part of life and something to be celebrated, our philosophy is to empower you to look your best in whatever phase of life you’re in.

At Kiss & Glow, we offer consultations to discuss your options to improve the appearance of wrinkles, volume loss and other signs of ageing.

We want you to be comfortable and informed every step of the way in your skin rejuvenation journey. That’s why we offer free in-person consults to discuss your needs and address any concerns.
